So. I'm more than halfway finished with 'An Inconvenient Truth' (worth watching, trust me) and my first thought is, 'Oh god, we are all doomed.' It's frightening the state the world is in right now. But it won't continue to be (at least in some ways) if we all stop being so lazy and uneducated and actually DO something.

Thus: What you can do.

I have got to see this movie if for nothing else than to give myself ammo. My ridiculously intelligent friend "read a book" and has since gone about trying to convince me global warming does not exist. The argument is dumb, but the debate skills are great.

I watched that movie last week. Honestly, after living with a bunch of environmental studies majors, I wasn't terribly shocked until they got to the part about the polar bears. Humanity be damned; show me a graphic of a poor polar bear with no where to rest and it haunts me for weeks.

Sigh. Good movie though. I actually just saw this short documentary on Al Gore and it made me like him so much more than I already did. Stupid Bush. Stupid stupid stupid.

Oh, that poor bear. :( That image is going to haunt me for weeks. I wonder what it says about me that I care more about polar bears than people. Hm...

Happy will be the day when Bush finally leaves office. The only time in my life I was at all political was 2000, and after the results were in, I was just like, 'Oh, I give up.'
