Beautiful! The way you linked their early time together and their later relationship just made it feel so strongly that they should-have could-have made it work, that with all that had happened, they still cared about each other as much as ever.

I didn't watch the season where they slept together. I know that Dean was already married at the point, but why didn't Dean and Rory stay together?

gahh, old school love. Man I hate how the writers screwed with them so much after season 2. After everything I just feet like Rory so doesn't deserve Dean anymore.

I actually liked them quite a lot in season 4, when they were becoming friends again, and Rory broke down and was genuinely upset for being so horrible to him, and I loved them even when he was cheating on his wife, because they were just so happy and in love again, and then the writers ruined everything AGAIN because they are completely lamecakes. :/

This is a mesmerising vid. I loved how well you linked parallel scenes through movements and items and facial expressions and kept jumping back and forth between the past and present and repeating key moments, it made it infinitely rewarding to watch in context. You completely nailed the push-pull "never quite over" dynamic of this relationship and the way the show focuses much more on Rory than Dean and at times completely overlooks how he views the situation. More than anything else I feel like this vid is an ode to Dean and a manifesto to how he should have been treated.

You use of colour is audacious and hypnotic. The use of blocking and the interchanging of places on the "me becoming you" parts is just... nifty. Oh, and I loved the rolling screen effect on the drum clatters.

My favourite bit is the bridge from 1:46 to about 2:24 when he shuts the glass on her and turns away. The whole segment is fantastically intense. Ooh, and the lovely continued motion around the 4:11 clips. GG is such static source so it's lovely to see you utilising what little source movement there is.

Yay for a fantastic GG vid! Good vids for this show are in such short supply and I'm so glad that you made this. :)

I found this vid fascinating. Judging from some of the comments above, I'm guessing my interpretation of this vid's message probably doesn't jive with your vidorial intent, but that's okay because that's the cool thing about fic and vids - it's all about perception; fans can connect their own dots.

So yeah, for me, this was a dark-ish vid in the sense that I took Dean 'becoming' Rory to mean that he becomes someone who can't be happy with what he has and looks outside his primary relationship for what he's missing or more succinctly put, Dean becomes a cheater like Rory (she was an emotional cheater, if not a physical one Jess-wise). But I could've been focusing too much on the contextual content because some of the stretches of vid take on a different meaning if you don't know that Dean's married during them. That's the other thing about fics and vids - the writer or vidder may have different ideas about how much contextual knowledge is relevant to their creation. In any case, I can't stop watching this vid. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my, this was mesmerizing. From the first few quick cuts, I was just enthralled. Really interesting editing, resulting in an amazing vid. The way you see Rory/Dean is, I think, quite similar to the way I do: you're interested in the flaws of their relationship as well as what works between them. That makes for a real richness in your vidding. ('One Line' is still one of my favourites.)
