So. You should know: I'm a total sadist. And a bit of a masochist as well. Personally, I like --love, even-- the idea of Sam vs. Dean. But only because I've convinced (deluded?) myself that show will end with alive, happy boys who love each other for all of time. Ahem. I'm actually a romantic at heart. ;) So I delight in the incredible pain and hurt and brutally hot fight scenes and sexy Jared Padalecki's sexy sexy face (and hair and body and everything ever) because in the end there will be nothin' but love. And possibly pie. (Er. Um. So I hope!)

Some things I feel I ought mention:
The use of doors throughout was deliberate. Oh, lovely doors. Doors as metaphors! :)

I desaturated the living daylights outta this. I hope I succeeded in making it look as gloomy as possible.

I firmly believe that Sam and Dean are being jerked around by Ruby and Castiel. Just look at how they'll listen to and buy into almost everything these practical strangers tells them. Crazy kids! They should know better!

This is really great. I love your use of S4 footage, with just enough from the first three seasons to tie it all together, and the stuff from 4.14 was especially well used. I particularly loved the moment at about 1:55 when you had Sam walking in a circle round people as he talked to them, but you used three different moments to complete the movement - two with Dean and then one with Ruby. That was a really neat piece of editing.

Good choice of song as well. Your vids really are something else! *applauds* I have added you as a friend, if that's okay, so I can keep up with them!

Oh man! these boys are so messed up! This vid really hurts. I like the way it has this sorta non-linear feel to it, the way you used the clips from Sex and Violence quite early, and moved backwards and forwards chronologically. Very unsettling ending with the door opening from DaLDoM.

Oh dude, DUDE this was almost painful to watch but in that omg so frakking good kinda way ;)
this has such a dark, tense feel to it that is perfect for where the show and the boys are at right now
i love the way you weave together all the past stuff about sam's possible evilness, his relationship with ruby, his crumbling relationship with dean - it just all works together so perfectly and it's a punch right to the gut

One of your best to date! I was very impressed by this. I love the song choice and the editing is tight and solid. And the coloring! Loved that too. :DDDDD (Or, lack thereof.)

The only thing: I thought it was too long. If it had ended neatly before the real smack-down occurred (which, was probably the whole point of the vid) a little over two minutes in, I think the meaning might have come across clearer? The last few minutes were good, but I they felt like they spiraled on and on and I am not sure how much they *added*.

But oh my god. I still love this to death. It's made me really tempted to jump into making a companion vid (also set to Bright Eyes) from Sammy's POV. Would you give me your blessing??? *puppy eyes*
